DIY Recipe Binder

I am getting my family recipes organized! The recipe binder is going very well for our family and I am glad that I dont have to write them out. Now they can be copied and given out! Yay to no more messy handwriting..What I truly mean is, when you are trying to write, hold a baby, plus eat at the same time.  YOU can also customize your own recipes on google drive and print them out or even share them. Email me at Jlm.customize@gmail.com if you want me to create them for you!

Here is a free weekly menu planner that I created!

Free recipe binder covers on Prudent baby. Have not got that far into creating yet. I will share when I do though.

This is a link to around 50 or so printable recipe card templates to put your recipes on before you add them to your binder!

This is so simple you can even add a page from a magazine or written on pages.

This is a free printable recipe to start you off. (not my recipe or photo) they had no option to print out the recipe. Green Smoothie Recipe from pinterest.

Soap Chunks Diy for Baby Wipes

It is really easy to make these. I made this recipe because I did not want to run to the kitchen every time I needed a new batch of wipe solution for our terry cloth and flannel wipes(handmade wipes) that we use to cloth diaper with. I figured I am cloth diapering why not use cloth wipes too?

All you need is:

Grater- finest is best (I have a kitchen aid attachment)
Saucepan
1 bar of Castile soap (Walmart in beauty)
4 teaspoons of witch hazel (Walmart near peroxide)
1-1 1/2 Tablespoons liquid glycerin
Essential oil- 16 drops of tea tree or lavender
1/8 cup water

What you do:

Grate bar of Castile soap an put into pan on medium heat

Slowly add other ingredients one at a time mix until well incorporated

Simmer until melted into a paste

Line loaf pan with foil, add paste, press down with hands or measuring cup (not too thin) then let it cool

Cut into small squares and place into a jar with a lid. The jar in the picture is stuffed plus there are extras.

When ready to use place 1 chunk into the squirt bottle half cold water then put in the hot water and shake until cube is dissolved. Now you have your Poo la la spray ready to tackle that tiny little tush without harmful chemicals.

Thanks for reading!

This is our set up for on the go!

Travel sized bottle of wipe solution made from soap chunks
Handmade Wet bag
Handmade Terry wipes 6x6 inches
Gdiapers

Emergency food- Oatmeal Blueberry Packs

If an emergency strikes you will want something easy to get and prepare with the least amount of struggle.

This is my tutorial for easy breakfasts using dehydrated blueberries.

They are so easy! All I did was took frozen blueberries we got from the blueberry patch, laid them on the the dehydrator trays (2 cups per tray) and let them dehydrate for 13-16 hours.

Now I will show you how to make packets that I will put into a small bucket to make it easy to grab and go if necessary.

I also vacuum sealed individual powdered milk packets that make 8 oz of milk. You can either drink it or add some to your oatmeal.

Using a mixer mix together flour and eggs, slowly adding milk and water.

Some ideas of what to stuff them with:

The easiest popcorn ever.

Our family LOVES popcorn and to me it is a big pain in the butt to get out the pan and try and not burn it as well as cook it enough to not waste most of the popcorn in the pan. Grr!

What you will need:

1 brown lunch bag
1/4 cup pop corn kernels

What you need to do:

Place kernels into brown bag
Put in microwave for one and a half minutes and that is it!
Enjoy!

Many Blessings!

Homemade cold/cough & flu syrup

You will need to find the following ingredients which can be found at a local health food store!

Base- 1 cup of raw honey
1 Tbs Echinacea purpurea (herb)
1 Tbs Echinacea Root (ground)
1 Tbs Slippery Elm bark (ground)
1 Tbs Ginger Root (ground)

Heat honey on medium heat until consistency is runny. Add the remaining ingredients and stir into honey, while turning to a low temperature. Make sure you stir often so the honey does not burn. Simmer for about 5 minutes. Then place a small metal strainer on top of jar and strain out the echinacea herb. Another option would be to grind the herb before placing into honey.

Dehydrated-Onion

This is simple! I am focused on dehydrating many things this year. So keep an eye on my blog for more ideas.

I just placed half an onion into my food processor and pulsed until all pieces were similar in size.
Then place onions onto a parchment paper lined tray for your dehydrator so the little pieces don't fall through.
It will take around 14 hours to finish dehydrating. Just make sure before taking onions off the tray they are crispy all the way through!

Done!

Peroxide for your plants

Did you know?

It is this hydrogen peroxide in rainwater that makes it so much more effective than tap water when given to plants. With the increased levels of atmospheric pollution, however, greater amounts of H202 react with air-borne toxins and never reach the ground. (information found http://educate-yourself.org)
**By adding 1 ounce of 3% hydrogen peroxide (or 16 drops of 35% solution) to every quart of water you give your plants.

** It can also be made into an excellent safe insecticide. Simply spray your plants with 8 ounces of 3% peroxide mixed with 8 ounces of white sugar and one gallon of water.)
