DIY Recipe Binder

I am getting my family recipes organized! The recipe binder is going very well for our family and I am glad that I dont have to write them out. Now they can be copied and given out! Yay to no more messy handwriting..What I truly mean is, when you are trying to write, hold a baby, plus eat at the same time.  YOU can also customize your own recipes on google drive and print them out or even share them. Cloth Diaper Patterns

Here is a link to many useful sewing patterns for cloth diapers.

Have you tried Calgon water softener to strip your diapers? You should try it.

A great place to find almost every type of cloth diaper for sale is Cottonbabies.com, they also buy back your used diapers.

Hand-Made Stamps

Lets make some cute stamps!

Things you will need:

• Styrofoam plate or take out box
• plastic or jar lid ( small-large)
• stamp pad or paint 
• pen or pencil does great (object with a point will work too ex skewer)
• glue 
• scissors  

First press lid onto the Styrofoam to make an indention for you to easily cut out the size you need, glue to cap, let dry, make design....get to stamping!  Don't forget if your including letters  on the stamp write them backwards.  ( I am not good at drawing.) 

Dog Treats

Below are 5 recipes I found  for special treats you can make at home:

**Breath Mint Biscuits**

2 cups brown rice flour
1 Tbl. charcoal
1 large egg slightly beaten
3 Tbl. vegetable oil
1/2 cup chopped parsley
1/3 cup chopped fresh mint
2/3 cup milk

Preheat oven to 400. Combine flour, salt and charcoal. In a medium bowl, combine egg, oil, parsley and mint; mix well. Slowly stir in flour
mixture, then add enough milk to make a dough the consistency of drop biscuits. Drop heaping tablespoons of dough about 1 in. apart onto
greased baking sheets. Bake 15 min., or until firm. Store cooled biscuits in tightly covered container in refrigerator.

**Munchie Crunchies**

1/2 cup powdered milk -- non-fat

1 egg -- beaten

1 1/2 cups rice flour

1/2 teaspoon honey

1/2 cup water

5 teaspoons chicken broth -- or beef

1 jar baby food strained meat - any flavor

Combine all ingredients well. Form into a ball. Roll dough out on a floured surface. Cut out desired shapes.

Bake in a 350 degree oven for 25-30 minutes.

Let cool. The treats should be hard and crunchy.

 

**Little Pup Snacks**

!/2 Cup powdered milk

1 egg, well beaten
2 1/2 cups flour
1/2 tsp garlic salt
1 1/2 tsp brown sugar
1/2 cup water
6 tblsp gravy
baby food meat

Mix all ingredients and shape into a ball. Roll out on a floured board about 1/2" thick. (use extra flour if needed) Dip cookie cutter in flour and cut out shapes. Bake @ 350F for 25-30 minutes. Cool. Cookies should be hard.

Adding fragrance to hand soap

You can make your own fragrance  by adding one or more essential oils to regular soap.
Click the links below to view soap that I use. I also have citronella oil that I will put in our soap for camping. One bottle would last for a very long time.

All you need:
1 pump full of either the orange antibacterial or original antibacterial soap several drops of any essential oil (I used 10 drops orange oil for my kitchen, it adds a refreshing smell to it.)

 All you have to do is add oil then shake it up
Now you can create a new and personal fragrance!

Dry Pancake Mix

Dry Ingredients:

• 2 cups dry buttermilk powder
• 8 cups all-purpose flour
• ½ cups sugar
• 8 tsp baking powder
• 4 tsp baking soda
• 2 tsp salt

Mix all ingredients together and pour into an airtight container. Store in a cool,dry place. Keeps for  6 months.

When you are ready to cook your pancakes using the mix, also use the recipe below.

Recipe:

• 1 ½ cup pancake mix
• 1 egg
• 2 tbsp oil
• 1 cup water

Mix all ingredients. Makes about 10-4”pancakes.

*Tip: You can add fresh blueberries, chocolate chips, bananas, pecans, or anything you like to these
pancakes for a delicious breakfast. 

Birthday Wrapping

I had some scrap material, tulle and a paper bag. This is what I came up with. I made a rosette for the top & my daughter pulled it apart. I think you can still get the idea. Do you think this is cute?
